audioslave - out of exile

After reading Wired's piece about the myspace.com music collective, I thought I'd check 'em out... see if the donk would fit in, ya know? Upon arrival I was exited to see that the as-yet-unreleased Audioslave album was available for listening. If you were a fan of their first effort, the new album will have much to enjoy. I think it's a further refinement of the Audioslave format. The ballad-y songs are still there, but not to the extent of their eponymous debut. If anything, there's a stronger Soundgarden influence here. In fact, if you enjoyed the culminating output of Soundgarden's effort, you will probably really enjoy Out of Exile. Bottom line? I'll buy it.
